BBQ IN Blue jeans: Join us for an evening of good food and great music! Our very popular annual fundraiser will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012. Doors open at 6:00PM and dinner is at 7:00PM. Barbeque master Tommy Moore of Moore's Barbeque is the event’s major sponsor, donating barbeque and all the fixings. Tickets are only $25 per person ($30 at the door) and include all food and beverages, as well as dancing to some of the area’s finest bands. Call the Museum to find out how you can be part of this special night as we gear up for renovations on the new museum!

Tickets can be purchased at New Bern Firemen's Museum, Mitchell's Hardware, New Bern Riverfront Convention Center or the New Bern Fire Department. All proceeds to benefit the New Bern Firemen's Museum.

 

central fire station renovation campaign: The Friends of the Firemen's Museum is in the process of raising $500,000 to restore the Central Fire Station on Broad Street to its 1928 appearance, reinterpret existing exhibits and install new interactive exhibits in the restored space. There are many exciting opportunities to name an area or an exhibit in memory or in honor of a loved one. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the museum or talk to a Friends of the Museum Board Member. Contributions for the restoration project can be mailed to the New Bern Firemen's Museum.

 

Fire Safety Programs: New Bern Fire-Rescue offers a variety of education opportunities for adults, as well as children. The Fire Prevention Bureau offers Fire Extinguisher Classes, as well as a variety of lecture presentations on Fire Life Safety Education.
